Krem hat bereits mehrere Brüche in seiner Lebensgeschichte erlebt. Nachdem er zunächst von der Straße aufgenommen worden war, wurde er später an Arbeiter weitergegeben und landete anschließend auf der Straße. Im Juli 2024 kam er in den Tierschutz, fand 2025 ein Zuhause und musste Anfang 2026 aus familiären Gründen wieder abgegeben werden. Nun sucht er erneut nach einem verlässlichen Platz. Krem ist stark auf Menschen bezogen, braucht jedoch anfangs etwas Zeit, bevor er Berührungen zulassen kann. Bei vertrauten Personen zeigt er eine ganz andere Seite, sucht Nähe, setzt sich auf den Schoß und genießt Streicheleinheiten. Körperliche Manipulationen (zum Beispiel Tierarzt) sollten bei noch nicht gefestigtem Vertrauen mit Maulkorb erfolgen. Daran ist Krem gewöhnt. Er greift nicht offensiv an, kann sich aber durch Abschnappen abgrenzen, wenn ihm eine Situation zu viel wird. Krem liebt Spaziergänge und kann gut allein bleiben. Dann ruht er überwiegend. Er hat bereits problemlos mit zwei Hündinnen zusammengelebt. Bei fremden Hunden auf Spaziergängen entscheidet er nach Sympathie, weshalb ein umsichtiges, souveränes Handling wichtig ist. Bei der Ernährung müssen bekannte Unverträglichkeiten berücksichtigt werden. Futter mit Schwein oder Fisch sowie Futter mit mehreren Proteinquellen verträgt er nicht gut.
