KROPEK

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 9 months

Kropek is a little dog who has been through more than anyone should. He ended up in a shelter after being severely bitten by other dogs. His body was injured, and his eyes were full of fear. Today, the physical wounds are just a memory - Kropek has fully recovered, but in his eyes, you can still see the longing for safety and closeness to humans. Despite his difficult past, Kropek has not lost what is most beautiful - his gentleness and kindness. He is a calm, friendly dog completely devoid of aggression. He approaches new people gently, as if he wants to make sure no one will hurt him again. Kropek gets along very well with other dogs - he is submissive, does not seek conflicts, but rather follows his canine companion. Kropek (born around 2017, weight around 12 kg) is still learning to walk on a leash. Every walk is a new challenge for him, but also a small step towards normalcy. His ideal home would be a quiet place, preferably with a garden, where he could feel free and at the same time have his safe haven. This special dog is waiting for someone who will give him time, patience, and a heart. In return, Kropek will give something that cannot be bought - unconditional love and gratitude.

PL·Show original

To pies spokojny, przyjazny i całkowicie pozbawiony agresji.

About KROPEK

What life with KROPEK looks like

KROPEK is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KROPEK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KROPEK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KROPEK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KROPEK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KROPEK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KROPEK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know KROPEK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
