Kropka

Female · Young · 2 years

Kropka is a small, charming female dog with a big heart. She ended up at the shelter after her guardian passed away. This represents a huge change for her, yet despite her difficult experiences, she hasn’t lost her trust in people and still wholeheartedly longs to be close to humans. She’s a dog who captivates everyone and can make you fall in love at first sight. Kropka is truly affectionate—she loves snuggling up to her caregiver in her kennel and adores being petted. She’s very people-oriented, sensitive, and quickly forms strong bonds with those around her. On walks, she’s calm and well-behaved—she walks beautifully on a leash, stays close to her human, cooperates wonderfully, and eagerly explores the world, sniffing and observing her surroundings. She isn’t afraid of street traffic or cars. Although she sometimes barks at strangers or other dogs, this behavior doesn’t stem from aggression—it’s more a sign of caution. She can calmly pass by other dogs, and with proper socialization, she should feel comfortable in the company of another canine companion. She also has a joyful side—she absolutely loves squeaky toys and happily invites others to join in playtime. We’re looking for a home for Kropka that’s full of warmth, patience, and closeness. She’d thrive best with people who’ll give her time to regain her sense of security and who want to build a genuine bond with her. In return, they’ll gain a loyal, devoted, and incredibly loving friend who will remind them every single day just how much joy canine love brings. We don’t recommend Kropka for homes with small children or for loud households where there’s a lot of activity going on. We don’t know how Kropka gets along with other companion animals, including cats. During the adoption process, we strongly recommend a pre-adoption visit to see how Kropka adjusts to the home environment and the potential walking neighborhood. If Kropka were to go to a home where another animal already lives, it would be essential to introduce her to the resident animal first.

Kropka to niewielka, urocza sunia o wielkim sercu. Kropka to prawdziwa przylepa. To raczej ostrożność.

About Kropka

What life with Kropka looks like

Kropka is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kropka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kropka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kropka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kropka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kropka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kropka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kropka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
