Krzysiu

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Krzyś is a dog who loves humans. He is sociable, cuddly, and craves closeness. ❤️ At the same time, he has some fear and needs a caregiver who will give him a sense of security and not cross his boundaries. In relation to other dogs, he can react aggressively, so he will best find himself as the only dog in the house. Krzyś also has areas on the sides of his body that he does not allow to be touched, he clearly shows discomfort and may try to bite. We do not want to hide this. We are looking for a conscious, calm person who is willing to get to know him first, build trust, and give him time. Besides, he's a really nice guy and can be a huge cuddler with a person. 🥹❤️ Krzyś does not need someone who will demand perfection from him. He needs someone who sees him as a dog with emotions, history, and boundaries that must be respected. SEE OTHER DOGS FOR ADOPTION

Szukamy dla niego człowieka świadomego, spokojnego i gotowego najpierw go poznać, zbudować zaufanie i dać mu czas.

About Krzysiu

What life with Krzysiu looks like

Krzysiu is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Gliwice in Poland.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Krzysiu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Krzysiu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Gliwice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Krzysiu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Krzysiu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Gliwice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Krzysiu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Krzysiu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Gliwice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Krzysiu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
