adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Kuddel can stay forever in his foster home! His story: The sweet Kuddel is looking for his people. He and his sister Smilly were found alone and abandoned in a village and were brought to safety by our local helpers. Both are eagerly waiting for their ticket to happiness. Kuddel is at first a bit reserved, but not at all afraid. He is very friendly and likes to sit near people to be stroked, cuddled, and held. Overall, Kuddel makes a very balanced impression. Kuddel has a delicate weight of 11 kg and a height of 41 cm, and thus belongs to the medium-sized dogs. It's hard to say which breeds are sleeping in him. Kuddel is just a true "purebred stray." His only drawback is that he has a shortened tail and thus cannot be rehomed to Switzerland. For Kuddel, we are looking for people who don't expect much from him at first and can give him time to settle in his new home. We don't know if he already knows life in a house, so some minor mishaps should be forgiven at first. Of course, he also needs to learn the dog ABC. Although he has already left childhood behind, our young pup is still in the middle of puberty. The time when hormones play tricks and confusion reigns in the brain. The time when everything that has been learned so far is questioned. But it's only a phase, and with much patience, love, and a dash of humor, you will definitely overcome it together. Kuddel is looking forward to beautiful nature walks and activities that also challenge his smart head. A visit to the dog training classes would definitely be something he would enjoy. Has Kuddel caught your interest? Kuddel has already packed his luggage. He travels microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. His EU pet passport is also in his luggage. But also a foster home would make the little man happy. Thank you, Mareike B.! You gave the sweet Kuddel his name and thus an identity. Status: 22.08. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

Stand: 22.08.2024

About Kuddel

What life with Kuddel looks like

Kuddel is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kuddel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kuddel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kuddel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kuddel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kuddel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kuddel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kuddel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
