Karma: Brit Care Salmon (dry food) Kuromi is a beautiful female dog of the long-haired German Shepherd type. She arrived at the shelter together with three other dogs: Odyn, Melody, and Banshee. We don’t know their history, but apart from Odyn, the three females are timid around new people. Thanks to the dedication of the shelter staff and volunteers, Kuromi goes for walks and explores ever-new areas. She walks either individually or accompanied by Banshee. This allows the girls to run, play, and explore together while continuing to get used to humans. With familiar people, Kuromi is confident and playful; however, every new person triggers significant distrust and fear in her. Kuromi is expressive, and during periods of high excitement, she sometimes uses her teeth and grabs sleeves. However, if her caregiver brings along a plush toy, Kuromi happily chooses the toy over a sleeve. Kuromi appreciates physical contact with her caregiver and tolerates close physical interaction. She loves wild runs alongside her sister Banshee, digging holes, and taking baths in various bodies of water. Her coat requires regular brushing, so the future caregiver should be aware that she’ll need to get used to this grooming routine. For Kuromi, we’re looking for a home: – with patient, calm, and less extroverted caregivers—preferably in an area with minimal sensory stimulation; a house with a garden near forests and fields would be ideal; – without small children; – possibly with another dog, after prior introductions.
