Respectful Animal Protection Association Home | Our Dogs | Our Adoption Conditions | Events | Contribute Age: 10 years Location: North - 59 Status: Available for adoption Sex: Female Lady is available for adoption! She was given up to us after a change in her owner's family situation. She is a lovely dog who is still very fit for her age. She is pleasant to walk and loves it! We are therefore looking for someone who walks regularly. She enjoys her comfort, chewing, and above all EATING! For this reason, she may get up early in the morning and follow you everywhere looking for food. This is an important point to consider, because Lady has Cushing's disease. I am sending you an explanatory video: the treatment is quite simple, just one small tablet a day. For this reason, Lady is up for an SOS adoption, so the adoption fees will be greatly reduced. Lady is fine with dogs, but we would prefer that she be the only dog in the household, as she likes her peace and quiet and doesn't much like making friends. The same goes for cats. But Lady is affectionate and really enjoys being looked after. In short, if you are a family that is present, patient, enjoys going for walks and cuddles, Lady may be the one for you! Lady is currently in the North (59), but she can be adopted anywhere! ©2021 by L'odyssée d'Argos. Created with Wix.com

About Lady

What life with Lady looks like

Lady is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at L in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lady, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lady?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lady on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lady if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lady already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lady isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lady and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
