Lapo a wondrous Italian German Shepherd. He spent most of his life on a farm in Italy with another dog out in the garden. Since his owner passed away and no one in Italy could take him in, he is currently in a private foster home in Switzerland. Lapo is a charming, playful, well-socialized, and intelligent fellow. He knows his dog ABC and is generally well-mannered. He is familiar with running alongside a horse from Italy. As he didn’t walk much on a leash, he still pulls a little, especially the first five minutes, but this has improved significantly with training here. He can also stay alone at home for a few hours, being quiet and not destructive. He accompanies his foster parent to work, and in the office, he patiently waits on his blanket. He is very friendly with people, especially those he knows. He would likely feel comfortable in a family with older children and without cats. He gets along well with female companions, but caution is advised with unneutered male dogs. For safety reasons, he wears an outdoor muzzle, which he accepts and is accustomed to. He learns quickly and is an excellent guard dog. He would do anything to please his owner. Due to his size and breed, he needs a dog-experienced, consistent owner who enjoys working with him and can also mentally challenge him. A large yard would be ideal. Lapo is not a dog from the Animal Welfare Society and will be rehomed directly from his foster location.

Lapo ein wunderschöner italienischer Schäferhund . Er verbrachte die meiste Zeit seines Lebens auf einem Hof in Italien zusammen mit einem anderen Hund draussen im Garten. Da seine Besitzerin verstarb und ihn niemand in Italien übernehmen konnte, befindet er sich momentan auf einer privaten Pflegestelle in der Schweiz. Lapo ist ein liebenswerter, verspielter, verschmuster und intelligenter Kerl. Er beherrscht das Hunde ABC und ist meistens gut abrufbar. Er kennt es aus Italien neben einem Pferd zu laufen. Da er nicht viel an der Leine lief, zieht er noch ein wenig vor allem die ersten fünf Minuten, dies hat sich aber mit dem Training hier bereits stark verbessert. Er kann gut auch mal ein paar Stunden alleine Zuhause bleiben, ist dort ruhig und macht nichts kaputt. Er begleitet seine Pflegerin mit auf die Arbeit, im Büro wartet er geduldig auf seiner Decke. Mit Menschen ist er sehr freundlich vor allem die, die er kennt. Er würde sich sicher auch in einer Familie mit grösseren Kindern, ohne Katzen, wohlfühlen. Mit weiblichen Artgenossinnen versteht er sich gut, mit unkastrierten Rüden ist Vorsicht geboten. Deshalb trägt er aus Sicherheitsgründen draussen einen Maulkorb, den er gut akzeptiert und gewöhnt ist. Er lernt sehr gerne und schnell und ist ein ausgezeichneter Wachhund. Er würde alles machen um seinem Besitzer zu gefallen. Er braucht wegen seiner Grösse Kraft und Rasse einen hundeerfahrenen, konsequenten Besitzer oder Besitzerin, der gerne mit ihm arbeitet und ihn auch mental fördern kann. Am liebsten mit grossem Garten. Lapo ist kein Hund vom Tierschutzbund und wird direkt von seinem Pflegeplatz aus vermittelt.
