adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Lara lives currently with her mother and her siblings Anaya, Amela, Romina, Larry, Eumel, and Caligula in Romania and can't wait to become a part of her own family. Lara has incredibly beautiful dark fur and looks very much like her mother. The mother is approximately 45 cm tall, and we assume that Lara will reach a similar height based on Lara's current size. Lara is a true treasure. She is very friendly, gentle, and obedient in handling. She loves playing with other dogs and is just as enthusiastic about playing with children. Her friendly character and open nature towards children will surely make her a great family dog. Also, Lara has no issues with cats. On the contrary, she is very friendly and curious towards them. Even though Lara is a little show puppy, she will still have to learn the basics of being a dog. Her uncomplicated and obedient nature will certainly work to her advantage here. And whoever gives Lara some love and patience and raises her with loving consistency will be rewarded with a wonderful companion. Is there still a spot in your family? We are already looking forward to your self-disclosure form. Should Lara's family still be waiting, we would also be happy to welcome a temporary family so that the little one doesn't have to grow up in a cage. Lara is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated and brings her EU pet passport. Age-wise, she is not yet spayed. Thank you, dear Anna, for your namingsponsoring. Thanks to you, Lara has a pretty name and hopefully a happy future. Status: 24.04. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Lara

What life with Lara looks like

Lara is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
