His story: Leander was given up by dog catchers at the this breed shelter in Bistrita along with his sisters Monja, Muffin, and Amber, and their mother, Hazel. Unfortunately, we know nothing about his background. The young Leander, with his loyal eyes, weighs 25 kg and stands 55-58 cm at the shoulder, making him a nice medium-sized dog. Looking at the photos, one might think that this handsome black and tan dog with medium-length fur is a quiet, possibly somewhat shy companion. Far from it! Leander is a playful and active young teenager who has quickly won a place in the hearts of the team with his sweet, sugary gaze. We don't know if he gets along with cats, but at the shelter, he is definitely open to other dogs and gets along well with them. For Leander, life in a loving home will be a completely new and unknown experience. After his exciting journey from Romania, he needs time and space to adjust to his new environment. Cleanliness is a foreign concept to him, and the usual behavior rules for a house dog are still a foreign language. Leash walking – what is that? And being alone will certainly not happen overnight and will need to be built up slowly after the adjustment phase. Everything that is second nature to us will be new ground for Leander, which he will gradually get used to with patient and loving guidance. For the start of your shared life, we recommend the guidance of a positively working dog training class, where you can learn a common language without pressure and grow into an unbeatable team through training, play, and fun. Seine Geschichte: Leander wurde zusammen mit seinen Schwestern Monja, Muffin und Amber und Mama Hazel von Hundefängern im Shelter von Bistrita abgegeben. Leider wissen wir daher nichts von seiner Vorgeschichte. Jungspund Leander mit den treuen Augen hat mit 25 kg Gewicht und 55-58 cm Schulterhöhe eine tolle mittelgroße Größe. Wenn man die Fotos sieht, könnte man meinen, dass dieser hübsche schwarze Rüde mit mittellangem Fell ein ruhiger, eventuell etwas schüchterner Geselle ist. Weit gefehlt! Leander ist ein verspielter und aktiver junger Teenager, der sich dank seines zuckersüßen Augenaufschlags schnell einen Platz in den Herzen des Teams erobert hat. Ob er mit Katzen auskommt, wissen wir leider nicht, anderen Hunden gegenüber ist er im Shelter auf jeden Fall aufgeschlossen und versteht sich gut mit ihnen. Für Leander wird das Leben in einem liebevollen Haushalt eine völlig neue und unbekannte Erfahrung sein. Nach seiner spannenden Reise aus Rumänien braucht er Zeit und Raum, um sich an die neue Umgebung zu gewöhnen. Stubenreinheit ist für ihn ein Fremdwort, die üblichen Verhaltensregeln für einen Haushund noch eine Fremdsprache. Leinenführigkeit – was ist das? Und Alleinbleiben geht ganz sicher nicht von heute auf morgen und will nach der Eingewöhnungsfase langsam aufgebaut werden. Alles, was für uns selbstverständlich ist, wird für Leander Neuland sein, woran er sich bei geduldiger und liebevoller Begleitung Schritt für Schritt gewöhnen wird. Für den Start eures gemeinsamen Lebens empfehlen wir die Begleitung einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule, wo ihr ohne Druck eine gemeinsame Sprache lernt und durch Training, Spiel und Spaß zu einem unschlagbaren Team zusammenwachsen werdet. In seinem Alter steckt Leander wahrscheinlich noch mitten in der Pubertät und hat dementsprechend ziemliche Flausen im Kopf. In diesem Lebensabschnitt werden Grenzen ausgetestet und die Geduld von Herrchen und Frauchen ordentlich auf die Probe gestellt. Bereits gelerntes ist auf wundersame Weise nicht mehr abrufbar und Gehörgange scheinen über Nacht komplett verstopft zu sein … Ein kleiner Hoffnungsschimmer vorab – auch diese Periode geht vorüber!
