That's why he needs a getting-to-know-you phase to build trust. With careful observation of his body language, a chest harness can then be put on. Lee doesn't like being stroked or handled too much. Maybe that will change in a new, stress-free home, but we can't guarantee that Lee will ever become a snuggle dog. On the leash, he is stressed during dog encounters, and we haven't yet tested how he gets along with other dogs in free roam. Lee is looking for loving people with dog experience who understand his body language and don't pressure him. He is house-trained, walks nicely on the leash, and despite his age, is lively and playful. He loves toys, collects them, and enjoys playing independently. When it comes to food, he also defends this resource against people. Lee has a patellar luxation, but currently does not require surgery. He occasionally suffers from a cherry eye. Deshalb braucht er eine Kennenlernphase, um Vertrauen aufzubauen. Mit genauer Beobachtung seiner Körpersprache lässt sich dann ein Brustgeschirr anlegen. Streicheln oder zu viel Angreifen mag Lee nicht. Vielleicht ändert sich das in einem neuen, stressfreien Zuhause, aber wir können nicht garantieren, dass Lee jemals ein Kuschelhund wird. An der Leine ist er bei Hundebegegnungen gestresst, und wir konnten noch nicht testen, wie er sich im Freilauf mit anderen Hunden verträgt. Lee sucht liebevolle Menschen mit Hundeerfahrung, die seine Körpersprache verstehen und ihn nicht bedrängen. Er ist stubenrein, läuft brav an der Leine und ist trotz seines Alters aufgeweckt und lustig. Er liebt Spielsachen, sammelt sie und beschäftigt sich gern selbstständig damit. Bei Futter muss man aufpassen, da er diese Ressource gegenüber Menschen auch verteidigt. Lee hat eine Patellaluxation, benötigt jedoch aktuell keine Operation.
