Her story: Lemon Drop traveled to Himmelreich foster home in early May. And just like the cute little puppy, she feels right at home there. A cozy dog bed, a giant chew bone, and plenty of cuddles… all in Himmelreich. Lemon Drop is a real little sunshine. Curious and eager to explore the world, she’s not at all shy. She gets along well with her giant new friend and isn’t fazed by her small size. Within a short time, she’s house-trained and can already do “sit.” Lemon Drop is a small, charming, and friendly little puppy who has already wrapped her foster mom’s little paws around her. Lemon Drop loves people and enjoys being petted. At the moment, she’s 35 cm in size and weighs 5 kg. Due to her long legs, we suspect she’ll be medium-sized when fully grown, but more on the smaller end of the spectrum. But small enough to be everywhere. The foster home is a stepping stone, but now Lemon Drop is searching for her permanent family. She’s still a baby and needs to learn a lot more, so she should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. It’s also helpful that she loves treats 😉. She’s looking forward to her new life with nature walks, lots of snuggles, and a visit to puppy school. In the first year, puppies should be with their family as much as possible. Additionally, the more challenging pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the little sweet babies into small to medium-sized rebels who sometimes forget everything they’ve learned. Ihre Geschichte: Lemon Drop konnte Anfang Mai in ihre Pflegestelle nach Himmelreich reisen. Und genau so fühlt sich das niedliche kleine Welpenmädchen auch. Ein eigenes Körbchen, ein riesiger Kauknochen und ganz viel Streicheleinheiten…… Wie eben im Himmelreich. Lemon Drop ist ein richtiger kleiner Sonnenschein. Neugierig erkundet sie die Welt. Und sie ist dabei gar nicht schüchtern. Sie versteht sich mit ihrem riesigen neuen Freund prima und lässt sich trotz ihrer kleinen Größe nichts gefallen. Schon nach kürzester Zeit ist sie stubenrein und kann auch schon „Sitz“. Lemon Drop ist eine kleine, ganz bezaubernde und freundliche kleine Welpin, die ihre Pflegemama schon ganz geschickt um ihre kleinen Pfötchen gewickelt hat. Lemon Drop liebt die Menschen und lässt sich gerne streicheln. Zur Zeit hat sie eine Größe von 35 cm und ein Gewicht von 5 kg. Aufgrund ihrer langen Beinchen vermuten wir, dass mittelgroß werden wird, wenn auch eher am unteren Ende der Messlatte. Aber klein genug um wirklich überall dabei sein zu können. Die Pflegestelle ist ein Sprungbrett aber jetzt sucht Lemon Drop ihre endgültige eigene Familie. Sie ist noch ein Baby und muss noch viel lernen und man sollte sie stets mit einem positiv verstärkenden Erziehungsstil begleiten. Dabei ist es bestimmt auch hilfreich, dass sie Leckerchen sehr gerne mag 😉. Sie freut sich schon auf ihr neues Leben mit schönen Spaziergängen in der Natur, vielen Schmusestunden und auch auf einen Besuch in der Welpen Schule. Im ersten Lebensjahr sollten Welpen so wenig wie möglich alleine sein. Außerdem steht die eher anstrengende Pubertätszeit bevor. Das Hormonchaos stellt das Leben der kleinen Racker und ihrer Besitzer auf den Kopf.
