adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Lenni has found a home! His story: Bistrita, Romania. Twelve paws, six doggy eyes, 3 magical siblings – Lenni is looking for a loving home like his two siblings. Who has fun, time, and energy for a magical puppy that brings life into the home? Lenni, his brother Bontje, and his sister Koko are just 11 weeks old, so still delicate puppy babies. The little four-leggeds are currently living with our animal rescuer Alina in Bistrita and are being lovingly cared for there. Sometime around early to mid-February, the three heartbreakers can embark on their exciting journey into a family of their own. Are you ready for a puppy? Lenni looks more like his brother Bontje. Snow-white fluffy fur, dark-ringed eyes, and light-brown ears with dark edges – one could almost mistake him for a Mini-Bernard. Lenni is still small, but when he grows up, he will be about medium-sized. He playfully frolics with his siblings, enjoys the affection of the foster family in Romania, and the feeling of being protected and cared for. Puppy children change family life in an instant. Before they become balanced adult dogs, they will learn and discover many things in your home. Their character will develop gradually, and family life requires rules to function harmoniously. Lenni has never known life in a house. This comes with house training, everyday sounds, and rituals that you will need to explain to him. Walks on a leash or car rides are completely new to him. To make him feel secure, you should not leave the puppy alone at the beginning. Even during puberty, it needs a thoughtful guidance to deepen the bond with you and for Lenni to trust you blindly. Find puppy trainers or dog schools that can support you and work with positive consequences. Then your fosterling can learn without fear and feel comfortable with you. Lenni does not choose his people. Therefore, he hopes to fall into loving hands that mean well to him and see him as a valuable family member. Do you want to be his heart's people? Then contact us through the website. Lenni is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. We thank Tim D. warmly for Lennis name and the valuable identity that he thus bestowed upon him.

About Lenni

What life with Lenni looks like

Lenni is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lenni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lenni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lenni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lenni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lenni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lenni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lenni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
