Levi

Male · Adult · 6 years

Meet Levi, our cheeky, energetic Jack Russell terrier who is still young at heart and full of life! Levi is a fun-loving boy with a real zest for life and a passion for play. He adores toys more than anything else and his absolute favourite game is to tug and rag, he would happily spend all day playing games if he could! Sometimes his excitement can get the better of him, making him a little bouncy and clumsy with his play at times. This bright little lad already knows some basic commands, and, with his love of toys, there is fantastic potential for further training and bonding with his new owner. Engaging him in play is a great way to earn his trust and build a strong relationship. Levi would love a secure, private garden where he can burn off some energy, enjoy games with his favourite people, and continue working on his housetraining. While Levi is friendly around other dogs, he isn't overly interested in making canine friends and would much rather focus on his people and his toys. He's happiest doing his own thing rather than being a social butterfly. Levi is looking for an understanding owner who can help him continue to build his confidence and trust. He enjoys affection, but on his own terms, and will often choose a game of tug over a cuddle. Don't be surprised if he proudly parades his toys around the house to show them off to anyone he meets. With patience, play, and plenty of love, Levi will make a wonderfully entertaining and loyal companion for the right home. About Levi

What life with Levi looks like

Levi is a small adult dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Levi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Levi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Levi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Levi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Levi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Levi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Levi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
