UPDATE: Lexi lives in a long-term foster home and will no longer be placed for adoption The roughly 10-year-old Lexi longs for a calm, safe home where she can spend her golden years feeling secure and receiving loving attention. Despite her age, she is still playful and curious: she loves chasing light reflections or dashing around the apartment with a feather wand. Lexi spent many years on her own outdoors and is therefore very self-reliant, but she is also incredibly people-oriented. She loves being part of things, watches attentively what goes on around her, and likes to lie close to her favorite people. Cuddling and petting? She enjoys them very much, but only on her own terms! Lexi decides for herself when and how much closeness she wants. She shows her boundaries clearly and needs people who understand and respect her signals. She does not like being picked up at all. She is sensitive, startles easily at new things, and needs a quiet environment without children or commotion. Hectic activity and loud noises stress her greatly. In return, she rewards her people with quiet, loyal closeness and likes to sleep in bed, very close to them. Lexi is extremely clean, House-trained, grooms herself thoroughly, and enjoys gentle brushing. She would like to remain a single cat and absolutely needs a secured balcony where she can soak up the sun and enjoy fresh air. Outdoor access is not necessary; in a very quiet, low-traffic area it might possibly be considered. What does Lexi need in her new home? For our sensitive and self-determined Lexi, we are looking for a loving, calm home with cat-experienced people and no children, ideally retirees or people with plenty of time and a quiet daily routine. UPDATE: Lexi lebt in einer Dauerpflegestelle und wird nicht mehr vermittelt Die etwa 10-jährige Lexi sehnt sich nach einem ruhigen, sicheren Zuhause, in dem sie ihren Lebensabend in Geborgenheit und mit liebevoller Zuwendung verbringen darf. Trotz ihres Alters ist sie noch immer verspielt und neugierig – sie liebt es, Lichtreflexen hinterherzujagen oder mit Spielangeln durch die Wohnung zu flitzen. Lexi hat viele Jahre alleine draußen verbracht und ist daher sehr selbstständig – aber auch unglaublich menschenbezogen. Sie liebt es, dabei zu sein, beobachtet aufmerksam das Geschehen und liegt gerne in der Nähe ihrer Bezugspersonen. Kuscheln und Streicheln? Sehr gern – aber bitte nur zu ihren Bedingungen! Lexi entscheidet selbst, wann und wie viel Nähe sie möchte. Ihre Grenzen zeigt sie klar und braucht Menschen, die ihre Signale verstehen und respektieren. Hochgehoben zu werden mag sie überhaupt nicht. Sie ist sensibel, reagiert schreckhaft auf Neues und benötigt ein ruhiges Umfeld ohne Kinder oder Trubel. Hektik und laute Geräusche stressen sie sehr. Dafür belohnt sie ihre Menschen mit stiller, treuer Nähe und schläft gerne im Bett, ganz nah bei ihnen. Lexi ist äußerst reinlich, stubenrein, pflegt sich ausgiebig und genießt sanftes Bürsten. Sie möchte Einzelkatze bleiben und braucht unbedingt einen gesicherten Balkon, auf dem sie Sonne tanken und frische Luft schnuppern kann. Freigang ist nicht notwendig – in einer sehr ruhigen, verkehrsarmen Umgebung wäre dieser eventuell denkbar. Was braucht Lexi in ihrem neuen Zuhause? Für unsere sensible und selbstbestimmte Lexi suchen wir ein liebevolles, ruhiges Zuhause bei katzenerfahrenen Menschen ohne Kinder – idealerweise bei Rentnern oder Menschen mit viel Zeit und einem ruhigen Alltag. Wichtig sind uns Verständnis für ihre selbstbestimmte Art, Respekt vor ihren Grenzen und die Bereitschaft, ihr Sicherheit und Nähe auf ihre Weise zu schenken.
