Lilypad

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 5 months

Meet Lilypad & Woody Lilypad and Woody are adorable 5-month-old siblings looking for a loving home together. Lilypad is a sweet, calm little lady who can be a little cautious at first. She prefers to watch the world from a safe distance before deciding she’d like to get involved. Once she’s comfortable, we’re sure her gentle personality will really shine. Lilypad is a little bit special — she has just three toes on each of her feet, and her claws don’t retract. This means she’ll need regular claw clipping as part of her ongoing care. Woody is the confident one of the pair! He’s inquisitive, interested in everything around him and has plenty of energy. He loves being around people and is always ready to see what’s going on. These two have very different personalities but make a lovely pair, and we’d love to see them find their forever home together. Lilypad & Woody could live with sensible children of secondary school age.Could you be the loving home these two gorgeous siblings are looking for? Please complete the application form below?

About Lilypad

What life with Lilypad looks like

Lilypad is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilypad, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilypad?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilypad on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilypad if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilypad already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilypad isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilypad and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
