Linda

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

♀, born approx. 11/2024 affectionate - friendly - loving Spain Linda is a Yorkshire Terrier female born around November 2024. Linda was once given as a Christmas gift - as a loving present and in the hope of experiencing many beautiful years together. But when her owner became pregnant, she suddenly didn't want to keep Linda anymore. So the young dog came to us, so she now has the chance to find a new, responsible home. Linda is not yet two years old and is full of joie de vivre. She is an active, loving and playful dog who likes to be close to her humans and wants to discover the world. She gets along well with other dogs. Whether she can live with cats has not been tested yet. In everyday life, Linda is uncomplicated and pleasant. She walks very well on a leash and is an open-minded companion who will surely bring a lot of joy to her humans. Despite her sad past, she has not lost her trust and her joie de vivre. Now all Linda needs is a family that gives her the love, security and stability she so richly deserves. People who consciously choose an animal and are willing to give Linda a home for life - in good times and bad. Linda is eagerly waiting for her second chance and for people who will truly love her and never leave her again. Maybe she can become your new family member soon? Linda is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is in a foster home in Spain and will be ready to travel in mid-October. The deposit is 580 euros. Do you have a suitable home for Linda? About Linda

What life with Linda looks like

Linda is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
