Adopt Linda

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Primary vaccination + Rabies LINDA IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME Linda is a mixed breed dog about 2 years old (born around 10.03.2024), about 48 cm tall and weighs around 15 kg, vaccinated, chipped and spayed. She is an incredibly affectionate, loving and cheerful dog who loves people very much. Linda is playful, attached, open and enjoys every bit of attention and every caress. Linda and her sister were adopted from a city shelter as babies. Unfortunately, they had to be returned two years later because their owners are moving. So both ended up back in the shelter two weeks ago. Despite everything, Linda has not lost her friendly nature and is now waiting for people who truly love her forever. With other dogs, Linda tends to be dominant. Therefore, an existing dog should be calm and not dominant. Her future family should be willing to work on this issue with patience and positive guidance. We don't know yet how she reacts to cats, but we can test it if desired. Linda has already lost her home once. Now we wish for people who will never abandon her again. Who will finally give this wonderful soul the home it deserves? Soon she could travel to Germany and be picked up in 83395 Freilassing. Inquiry for Linda Become a godparent for Linda

About Linda

What life with Linda looks like

Linda is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ankerhunde e.V. in Novi Grad.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇦Adopting from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ankerhunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ankerhunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ankerhunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
