Adopt Lisa-10

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Hometown Mexico Described by Lisa Learn about the approximately 4-year-old, around 35-40 cm tall, and weighing around 20 kg mixed-breed female dog Lisa – gentle, loyal, and full of love! Lisa loves being stroked, is playful, enjoys going for walks, and gets along well with other dogs. She is clean, well-trained (i.e., doesn’t pull on the leash), and would be the perfect addition to any family that desires an extremely loyal, loving best friend. She needs to lose a little weight, but with the right diet and a bit of exercise, we are optimistic that she will reach a healthy weight. Lisa’s Story Lisa was rescued on September 11, 2023, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. She then lived under very difficult conditions at the state animal shelter in Playa del Carmen from October 1, 2023, to October 1, 2025. The dogs are confined individually in cages for 23 hours and 45 minutes per day. On October 1, 2025, my sister and I adopted Lisa and placed her with a foster family. Now we are looking for a wonderful, loving home for her! Lisa is ready to bring love, loyalty, and joy into your life. Could she be the right one for you? My contact details are: Manon Bissat Please do not send Lisa’s information to animal-happyend. You can contact Frau Manon Bissat directly. Many thanks.

September 2023 in Playa del Carmen, Mexiko gerettet. About Lisa-10

What life with Lisa-10 looks like

Lisa-10 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lisa-10, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lisa-10?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lisa-10 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lisa-10 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lisa-10 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lisa-10 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lisa-10 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
