Liz - a friendly, lively, puppy-typical playful girl looking for her forever home 🏡🐶 approximately 3 months old (as of 05.10.2026) | friendly, lively, puppy-typical playful Lizz's start in life could have been really better. 😔 Together with her five siblings, she was simply abandoned in the forest at the age of just about 1.5 months. Completely on her own, the little puppies had to fight for survival there. 💔 When they were found, they were covered in fleas and ticks. Fortunately, Liz and her siblings were immediately taken in and examined by a veterinarian. 🩺❤️ They were treated accordingly, cared for, and have since received their vaccinations. Today, Liz shows that she is a very wonderful dog girl despite her difficult start. 🥰 She is friendly, curious and playful and enjoys discovering the world. It is especially nice that she is not afraid of people and shows herself openly and friendly. 🐶💕 Liz is full of joie de vivre and now finally wants to experience how it feels to be loved and cared for. She is still young and of course still has to learn everything that a family dog should be able to do - the dog-1x1, house training, leash training and much more. With loving upbringing, patience and shared adventures, she will surely develop into a great companion. 🐾✨ Now Liz is missing only her own family, which shows her that her life will only have beautiful sides from now on. 🏡💗 Do you want to give Liz the home she so deserves? 😍 Liz is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, not yet neutered and examined by a veterinarian and in possession of an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 permit to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mittelmeerkrankheiten with a rapid test. The deposit is €520 plus €30 for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: If we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we orient ourselves exclusively on the external appearance as well as the observable behavior (phenotype). That is: This assignment is made according to the best knowledge and conscience of the association as well as the participating veterinarians. However, these information do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), because their reliable determination would only be possible through a DNA analysis. In addition, the behavioral and character description of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the animal protectors on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments refer exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. About Liz

What life with Liz looks like

Liz is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
