Adopt Liza

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

🌸 Liza – on a foster home in Germany, searching for her happiness 🌸 📍 91207 Lauf a.d. Pegnitz, born 01/2023 female dog, neutered, ca. 35 cm, 8.9 kg Liza was found on the street in a village in Romania by animal protectors and brought to our emergency shelter ASIPA. There, she was made ready for travel. She had already shown herself to be very people-oriented, agile, and friendly in Romania. ✨ Liza was allowed to travel to Germany in early April and now lives on a loving foster home in 91207 Lauf a.d. Pegnitz. Here, she can arrive, build trust, and finally experience what a real home feels like. 🏡💛 Her foster home describes Liza as a cheerful, open, and trusting female dog who seeks the company of people as well as other dogs and is very compatible. On walks, she is relaxed, loves long excursions, and needs them. Coming to rest at home is still a bit of a challenge for the little mouse and she needs a patient person here who can provide her with the structure and security she needs with loving firmness so that she can find relaxation. For Liza, the calmness and life in the household are still something to learn together with and from her human. It is important that she is given enough patience, time, and understanding here so that Liza can truly arrive at her own pace. House training, car rides, and staying home alone, Liza can learn in her new home. Over time, Liza can certainly be taken everywhere and she will have a lot of fun accompanying her favorite person. 💫 Liza can be visited and met at her foster home!🐾❤️ She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. If you would like to give Liza a loving home, we look forward to your message. 💌 🌐 www.tiernothilfe-ev.de Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e. V.

About Liza

What life with Liza looks like

Liza is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
