Lize, a young black cat with a shiny coat, born around 6-7-2024, is looking for a safe haven at Hokazo. She prefers the space above the kitchen counter, where she can observe everything and feel protected. We are looking for a place where she can eventually take up more space than the four shelves she currently seems to prefer. Lize looks at us suspiciously. If we get too close, she growls as a warning. But when she realizes we are just filling her food bowl at the counter, she calms down and remains alert. She does not seek out other cats. Lize values peace and a relaxed atmosphere at home, without other animals or children. She feels most comfortable with 1 or 2 caring adults who give her space and let her set her own pace. A portion of love, patience, and wet food (in addition to dry food) can work wonders. Lize would appreciate a hiding spot in her new home from which she can build a sense of security and trust. De beste schuilplek in Hokazo is het vak in de kast boven het aanrecht, aldus Lize. Van daaruit kan ze alles observeren en voelt de compacte ruimte beschermend. Voor deze jonge meid (geschatte geboortedatum 6-7-2024) met haar prachtig zwart glanzende vacht zoeken we een veilige haven. Een plek waar ze op termijn meer ruimte durft in te nemen dan de vier plankjes waar ze zich nu het prettigst lijkt te voelen. Lize kijkt ons wantrouwend aan. Komen we een stapje dichterbij, dan gromt ze even als waarschuwing. Maar als ze merkt dat we gewoon haar voerbakje komen vullen bij het aanrecht, is dit zo voorbij en blijft ze vooral alert. Andere katten zoekt ze niet op. Voor Lize is rust en een ongedwongen sfeer in huis belangrijk, zonder andere dieren of kinderen. Het beste voelt ze zich bij 1 of 2 zorgzame volwassen mensen die haar de ruimte geven en haar het eigen tempo laten bepalen. Een portie liefde, geduld en dagelijks natvoer (naast brokken) kan wonderen doen. Lize zal het waarderen als ze ook in haar nieuwe huis een schuilplekje krijgt van waaruit ze het gevoel van veiligheid en vertrouwen kan opbouwen. Want we gunnen haar de wereld!
