Lola

Unknown · Young · 1 year

Lola is a super sweet, energetic young lady! She was found pregnant and is estimated to be about one and a half years old. Luckily, she was able to give birth calmly in a foster home. Lola lets herself be picked up and petted very easily and really enjoys it. Now that Lola's kittens are becoming more independent, Lola finds the cat room at her foster home far too small, and she lets everyone know with her vocal sounds. Every now and then she is allowed out of the room, and that really does her good. She needs to be able to explore freely and indulge her hunting instinct with a toy mouse. That's when she is in her element! It takes Lola a long time to get used to other adult cats, so she is looking for a place of her own. Ideally a house with a (closed-off) garden, so that she can eventually go outside and enjoy herself. Lola's foster family suspects that she would truly bloom as a princess in a realm all her own, with her own staff. Are you looking for a friend for life, and can you offer her what she needs? Then respond to this lovely kitty! Lola currently lives with a foster family in Nijmegen. When she is ready to be adopted, she will be fully vaccinated and neutered. From 26 October she may move. Would you like to give her a lovely home? Then fill in the contact form below.

Vanaf 26 oktober mag zij verhuizen. Wil jij haar een fijn huisje bieden? Vul dan onderstaand contactformulier in.

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a small young adult cat waiting at Hokazo in Uden.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hokazo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hokazo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hokazo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
