Lola

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 3 years

Lola, a Bodeguero mix, is looking for a family connection! Lola was given up by animal welfare workers at our Spanish partner animal shelter. We know nothing about her past. However, in the shelter, she shows herself to be a friendly and social dog. Lola is, however, impressed and a bit intimidated by the loud bustle of the animal shelter. It is all the more important that she gets her chance to move to a family environment soon. Therefore, we are looking for a loving home for Lola as soon as possible. This should allow the female dog to arrive there in peace. We assume that Lola may not have learned much in her previous life. There will be challenges waiting for her future home, but also setbacks. Many new life situations need to be learned, everyday life mastered. Experiences must be made and impressions processed. In all these developmental steps, Lola must be able to rely on her caregivers and be supported by them in all situations of life and accompanied into a new happy dog life. Lola has already won your heart and you want to give her a place of belonging, then we look forward to your inquiry. Adopting a rescue dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to settle into their new life. If you are seriously interested in adopting Lola, please contact the responsible mediator of SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy about the provision of a foster home. The contact details can be found below. Here's Lola's video

Herz an Herz – Bodeguero Mischling Lola sucht familiären Anschluss!

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
