How do I contact the shelter about Lory?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lory on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Lory if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Lory already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Lory isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lory and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Lory - a small dog girl looking for her happiness 🏡🐶 approximately 3 months old (as of 28.09.2026) | friendly, lively, playful like a puppy. Lory had no easy start in life. She was found alone in a green strip on a street. 😔💔 For the young dog, this place was much too dangerous. Fortunately, our animal protector noticed the two and did not hesitate. She took Lory and her sister and brought them to safety. ❤️🐾 Today, Lory is about 3 months old and can finally be a carefree puppy. She has her whole life ahead of her and is waiting to discover the big, exciting world with her humans. 🌎🐶 Of course, the little mouse still has to learn everything that comes with a dog's life - from dog basics to house training and walking on a leash. With loving patience and consistent guidance, Lory will learn all these things step by step. 🐾📚 We wish Lory a loving family that gives her time to settle in and accompanies her patiently on her way. People who know that a puppy is not only sweet but also needs a lot of time, attention, and education. ❤️ Lory wants to belong, be loved, and have her own bed where she can stay forever. 🏡💗 Who will give our little Lory her very own happy ending? 🥰🐾 Lory is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, not yet spayed, and has been checked by a veterinarian and has an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Section 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases with a rapid test. The adoption fee is €520 plus €30 for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we are guided solely by their external appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This classification is made to the best of the association's knowledge and the participating veterinarians. However, these details do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as a reliable determination of this would only be possible through a DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the animal protectors on site or by the respective foster families. It should be noted that these assessments refer exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. About Lory

What life with Lory looks like

Lory is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
