Adopt Lotti

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Lotti was found by our vet at the edge of Năsăud – abandoned and in no good condition. She suffered from Demodex, but has been successfully treated at our animal shelter and has since fully recovered. Her skin has completely regenerated, and her coat has grown back thick and beautiful. Our caretaker on site is very lovingly taking care of her and has already taken her to her heart. Character-wise, Lotti is a true soul of a dog – very loving, friendly, and pleasantly calm. Despite her new situation at the animal shelter, she has immediately settled in well. She is also completely uncomplicated in her interactions with other dogs: she was accepted right away, there is no stress or conflict. Overall, she brings a very balanced and relaxed nature. Lotti has also proven herself well in everyday life with other dogs. She has already shared her pen problemlessly with a female dog and currently lives together with Jupi. The two get along very well, and especially in the run, Lotti shows her playful side – she loves to run and frolic with Jupi in the run and simply be carefree. At about 2 years old, she is fully grown – around 50 cm tall. With her, she is in the best age: young, but already mature and in everyday life pleasantly calm. For Lotti, we wish a loving home with people who will give her time to settle in and show her the world step by step. She should not be overwhelmed but live in a stable, calm environment where she experiences security, affection, and clear structures. A secure-only dog home would be nice, but is not a must – what is important are patience, empathy, and joy in accompanying a dog on her journey through life. A home with a secure garden would be ideal, as she greatly enjoys the shared running and playing outdoors. (Description updated on 31.05.2026)

About Lotti

What life with Lotti looks like

Lotti is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Arme Hundeseelen in Năsăud.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lotti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lotti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arme Hundeseelen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lotti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lotti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arme Hundeseelen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lotti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lotti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arme Hundeseelen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lotti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
