♂, born around November 2020 - sensitive - active - social - still anxious in Spain Lotus is a mixed-breed male dog born around November 2020 with a shoulder height of around 65-70 cm. Lotus came to the animal shelter with his brother Kat and his mother Mumy in mid-June 2022. Nothing is known about his past or his history. Life in the animal shelter is not easy for a sensitive dog like Lotus and is only barely tolerable. Lotus eagerly awaits a loving and adequate home and a cozy warm dog bed, where he can live happily and securely, as he so desperately desires after such a long period of deprivation and stay in the animal shelter. Lotus is still anxious, cautious, and unsure, but also quite active. Once he has built trust and realizes that you mean him well, you will have a truly loving male dog who is a lifelong friend. Unfortunately, the animal shelter lacks the necessary time to devote to these needs and to individually engage with him. The circumstances and daily hardships in the animal shelter have left their mark on Lotus. The situation and the long stay in the animal shelter take a heavy toll on his psyche, and he is still not used to walking on a leash. He should find an adequate home quite soon. Due to the now very long stay in the animal shelter, combined with a lack of movement and uncontrolled feeding, Lotus is rather overweight. His future people should therefore pay close attention to his health and contribute to his beloved male dog returning to his ideal weight. Lotus now seeks engaged people who have plenty of time for him, challenge and support him, teach him to walk on a leash and the dog commands with patience and care, ideally combined with regular visits to dog training classes, and integrate him into their daily lives, where Lotus will finally experience the affection, love, and care he has not had so far. Lotus is compatible with fellow animals of both sexes. In his future home, there should be at least and must be a confident, socially compatible fellow animal, preferably of similar age and size, which would serve as a helpful orientation for life in the new home. He will not be rehomed in single ownership. Cats and/or small pets should not be in his future home. For Lotus, a loving rural home and environment, preferably with a secure garden, is sought by active and thoughtful people who have plenty of time for him, as well as a love and joy in shared activities with him, and will explore the world together with him, because a couch potato he is not and has not yet experienced much. For a life in the city, as well as for a home with children, he is likely too anxious and insecure. An urban home and environment would therefore not be right for him. Lotus will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for Mediterranean diseases. He is located at the animal shelter in Ciudad Real, Spain. The adoption fee for Lotus is 460 Euros. ♂, geb. ca. 11/2020 sensibel - aktiv - sozial - noch ängstlich in Spanien Lotus ist ein ca. 11/2020 geborener Mischlingsrüde mit einer Schulterhöhe von ca. 65 -70 cm. Lotus kam Mitte Juni 2022 mit seinem Bruder Kat und seiner Mutter Mumy ins Tierheim. Über sein Schicksal und seine Vergangenheit ist nichts bekannt. Das Leben im Tierheim, ist für einen sensiblen Hund wie Lotus, nicht einfach und nur schwer erträglich. Lotus wartet sehnlichst auf ein liebevolles adäquates Zuhause und ein gemütliches warmes Hundebettchen, um in Geborgenheit und Wohlbefinden, glücklich leben zu können, welches ihm nach einem solch langen entbehrungsreichen Zeitraum und Aufenthalt im Tierheim, so sehr zu wünschen ist. Lotus ist noch ängstlich, vorsichtig und unsicher, aber auch recht aktiv. Sobald er Vertrauen gefasst hat und merkt, dass man es gut mit ihm meint, hat man mit dem liebenswerten Rüden, einen wahren Freund fürs Leben, einen wirklich tollen Hund gewonnen. Leider fehlt jedoch im Tierheim die nötige Zeit, sich diesen Bedürfnissen entsprechend zu widmen und sich individuell mit ihm zu beschäftigen. Das Schicksal und der lange Aufenthalt im Tierheim hat Spuren bei Lotus hinterlassen. Die Situation und die alltäglichen Widrigkeiten im Tierheim setzen ihm seelisch sehr zu, auch das Laufen an der Leine kennt er noch nicht. Er sollte recht bald ein adäquates Zuhause finden. Bedingt durch den nun schon sehr langen Aufenthalt im Tierheim, verbunden mit mangelnder Bewegung und unkontrollierter Ernährung, ist Lotus recht übergewichtig. Seine zukünftigen Menschen sollten zu seiner Gesunderhaltung daher unbedingt darauf achten und mitwirken, dass der liebe Rüde wieder zu seinem Idealgewicht findet. Lotus sucht nun zu seinem endgültigen Glück, engagierte Menschen, die viel Zeit für ihn haben, ihn fordern und fördern, ihm das Laufen an der Leine und das Hundeeinmaleins, mit Ruhe und Geduld beibringen, bestenfalls verbunden mit regelmäßigen Besuchen in der Hundeschule und ihn aktiv in ihren Alltag integrieren, bei denen Lotus endlich die Zuneigung, Liebe und Fürsorge erfährt, die er bisher nicht hatte. Mit Artgenossen beiderlei Geschlechts ist Lotus bestens kompatibel. In seinem zukünftigen Zuhause sollte mindestens und unbedingt, ein souveräner sozialverträglicher Artgenosse, bestenfalls in ähnlichem Alter und ähnlicher Größe, welcher für ihn zur Orientierung an das Leben im neuen Zuhause sehr unterstützend und förderlich wäre, vorhanden sein. Er wird nicht in Einzelhaltung vermittelt. Katzen und/oder Kleintiere sollten in seinem zukünftigen Zuhause nicht vorhanden sein. Für Lotus wird ein liebevolles ländliches Zuhause und Umfeld, vorzugsweise mit ausbruchssicherem Garten, bei aktiven besonnenen Menschen gesucht, die viel Zeit für ihn besitzen, sowie Lust und Freude an gemeinsamen Aktivitäten mit ihm haben und zusammen mit ihm die Welt entdecken, denn ein Couchpotato ist er nicht und hat bisher noch nicht viel kennengelernt. Für ein Leben in der Innenstadt, sowie für einen Haushalt mit Kindern ist er voraussichtlich zu ängstlich und zu unsicher. Ein (inner)städtisches Zuhause und Umfeld, wäre daher nicht das Richtige für ihn. Lotus wird kastriert, geimpft, gechippt und auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet vermittelt.
