Der Rest des Körpers hat kurzes Fell und ähnelt stark den Farbenzwergen. Ihre Mähne verleiht den Fellnasen ihr extravagantes Aussehen. Flink und verspielt sind sie den ganzen Tag in Bewegung. Sie erkunden gern ihre Umgebung und interagieren zwischendurch immer wieder untereinander. Ihre sozialen Kontakte sind ihnen sehr wichtig. Deshalb sollten Sie nie ein Löwenkopfkaninchen allein halten.
