LUA y COCO

German Shepherd · Female · Adult · 5 years

Lua and Coco are a special pair. They have always lived together and, after so many years sharing their lives, we want to find them a home where they can continue to be together. - Lua, a beautiful 5-year-old German Shepherd. - Coco, a 9-year-old Chihuahua. Due to the advanced age and physical conditions of their guardians, they can no longer provide them with the care and attention they need. It was not an easy decision, but now they need a new opportunity. Both have a good character, are sociable and used to living together. We are looking for a responsible and committed family who understands that adopting Lua and Coco together means giving them the opportunity to continue sharing their lives and not losing their lifelong companion. -Lua: spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. -Coco: not neutered, currently not microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. We know that finding a family for two dogs can be more difficult, but they have each other and deserve to continue together. After a lifetime of sharing, we don't want them to be separated now. If you are thinking of giving them a chance and becoming their new family, please contact Sandra: 630 919 470.

About LUA y COCO

What life with LUA y COCO looks like

LUA y COCO is a adult german shepherd dog waiting at ADAM Protectora El Masnou in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting LUA y COCO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LUA y COCO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ADAM Protectora El Masnou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LUA y COCO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LUA y COCO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ADAM Protectora El Masnou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LUA y COCO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LUA y COCO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ADAM Protectora El Masnou early rather than rehoming privately; they know LUA y COCO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
