Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg)

Mixed Breed · Unknown

43 cm tall, weight approx. 13 kg. Healthy, vaccinated, neutered. Friendly, gentle, loving girl. "A tiny, sweet wolfhound". Active, playful, cheerful little dog, a real "life artist". She likes to run, walk and play. Lucy is thin and compact, like a tiny statue. Sociable and friendly. She is very happy with people and seeks closeness. She greets her acquaintances enthusiastically. She is initially cautious with strangers, but gets used to them quickly. She can be safely stroked and picked up. The girl gets along well with other dogs. In her new home, she needs time to settle in and get used to it. Probably she is better suited for a family with a peaceful, friendly dog as a role model. Lucy lives in the animal shelter. Eats dry food. She is waiting very much for her best family! Foster home 16515 Oranienburg

Höhe 43 cm, Gewicht ca. 13 kg. Gesund, geimpft, kastriert. Frisst Trockenfutter. Sie wartet sehr auf ihre beste Familie! Pflegestelle 16515 Oranienburg

About Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg)

What life with Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) looks like

Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Russische Tiere in Not e.V. in Gladbeck.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Russische Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Russische Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Russische Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lucy (Pflegestelle16515 Oranienburg) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
