Description from our foster home: The small, sweet Luke weighs in at around 8kg, he brings a lightness to the scale. He searches—along with his very best friend and soulmate Carlos—for a quiet, rural home with a garden, with loving, very patient people who have experience with anxious dogs. It takes some time for him to feel comfortable and relaxed. Luke will likely never fully trust people, but he now enjoys being spoiled and living in the house. Strange situations, people, and other dogs scare him. In the house, he hides, while outside, everything is barked at. He plays a lot with Carlos, enthusiastically burrows for mice, and is a small, big guard dog. Canned and dry food he doesn’t like and doesn’t agree with. Since he’s been on BARF, everything is good. Luke has tested negative for heartworms. The vet says heartworms should be checked annually. What the little boy experienced before he was caught and brought to the Romanian animal shelter, we unfortunately do not know. Carlos gives Luke some security and stability; he needs the closeness of his reliable buddy. For Luke—and Carlos in the double pack—we are looking for very special, inwardly calm people who are willing to give Luke a lot of time and not have expectations of him. Beschreibung Unsere Pflegestelle berichtet: der kleine, süße Luke bringt ein Leichtgewicht von ca. 8kg auf die Waage, er sucht - zusammen mit seinem allerbesten Freund und Seelenverwandten Carlos - ein ruhiges, ländliches Zuhause mit Garten bei lieben, sehr geduldigen Menschen, die Erfahrung mit Angsthunden haben. Es dauert einige Zeit, bis er sich wohlfühlen und entspannen kann. Richtig vertrauen wird er Menschen wohl nie können, aber mittlerweile genießt er es, bekuschelt zu werden und im Haus zu leben. Fremde Situationen, Menschen und Hunde machen ihm Angst. Im Haus verkriecht er sich dann, draußen wird alles verbellt. Er spielt viel mit Carlos, buddelt leidenschaftlich gerne nach Mäusen und ist ein kleiner, großer Wachhund. Dosen- und Trockenfutter mag er nicht und verträgt es auch nicht gut. Seit er BARF bekommt, ist alles gut. Luke ist positiv auf Herzwürmer getestet worden. Die Herzwürmer sollen laut Tierarzt ca. jährlich kontrolliert werden. Was der kleine Bub erlebt hat, bevor er eingefangen wurde und in das rumänische Tierheim gebracht wurde, wissen wir leider nicht. Carlos gibt Luke etwas Sicherheit und Halt; er braucht die Nähe seines zuverlässigen Kumpels. Für Luke - und Carlos im Doppelpack - suchen wir ganz besondere in sich ruhende Menschen, die bereit sind Luke sehr viel Zeit zu geben und keine Erwartungshaltung an ihn stellen.
