Yorkshire Terrier Β· Male Β· Senior Β· 10 years

Pups is a male Yorkie x Chihuahua Date of birth 27/6/2016 Foster in Spalding, can be rehomed anywhere, adopter would need to travel to the foster home. Pups came into our care through no fault of his own. He's a sweet loving boy when he knows you. He loves to play with foster dad. He is in foster with other small dogs with no issues, he can be homed with small calm, older female dogs or on his own. Pups is worried about feet, we are unsure of his past. He loves his walks and is very sprightly for his age. He gets a little stiff at times but still loves getting out. Once he's had his walk he is happy to chill. He is clean in his foster home, however we can't guarantee this. Not cat tested No children Any resident dogs must be neutered and proof provided from your vet About Us >>

About Dog

What life with Dog looks like

Dog is a small senior yorkshire terrier dog waiting at Silver Fox Dog Rescue in United Kingdom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dog, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dog?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Silver Fox Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dog on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dog if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Silver Fox Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dog already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dog isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Silver Fox Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dog and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
