Luna

Unknown

Luna is a lovely black and white female Staffie, aged 6 and on the small size for an adult of her breed. She is a happy little thing, very eager to engage with visitors. Luna is looking for a new home for no fault of her own. She just needs more than her current owners can give her. She needs exercise and mental stimulation which she is not getting at the moment. It means she is overly lively when new people come into the house. She does settle after a short while, tiring herself out and plopping down exhausted. (Ready to go again before you know it!). She has been destructive in the house out of boredom and frustration, but we are sure that a new active home this will eliminate this. Luna has grown up with children of all ages, from babies to teenagers and she loves them and they love her. She can be bouncy initially so a new family with small children will need to take care. She loves attention and she is a very loving dog. She is very good on the lead and good recall. She is used to spending time alone and is fully housetrained. We wouldn’t want her to be alone for too long though. The main thing she needs is regular walks, lots of play at home and company. Although she not dog aggressive she has not lived with another dog so this would need to be tested. resident cats though. Luna is in Telford and meet and greet can be arranged for suitable applicants. Luna will do well in an active family or couple who are willing to share their activity with her. She needs: –Owners who will walk her twice a day at leastA secure garden she can run and play inTo not be left on her own al dayPotentially a resident dog, subject to testingNo resident catsChildren who are dog savvy and will not be thrown by her over exuberance. About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a small adult dog waiting at Team Poundie in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Team Poundie handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Team Poundie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Team Poundie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
