Voor deze kat zoeken we een thuis waar ze wel naar buiten kan in een veilige omgeving. Karakter en achtergrond van de kat: We zagen Luna al een aantal dagen rondzwerven in de tuin van mijn schoonouders. Ze was eerder schichtig en kon niet benaderd worden. Een week later troffen we Luna aan, met 4 pasgeboren kittens. Ze was angstig maar kon wel gemakkelijk benaderd worden. Ze liet het toe dat we haar én het nestje verhuisden naar een veilige plaats voor de kittens. Luna was sterk vermagerd maar verder een gezonde poes. Na een aantal dagen liet ze het toe om zich te laten aaien en ook haar kittens mochten we benaderen. Na het eerste dierenartsbezoek bleek heel de familie gezond en wel. De dierenarts schatte Luna net geen 2 jaar. Ondanks haar jonge leeftijd, bleek Luna een heel zorgzame mama te zijn. Ze week niet van de zijde van haar kittens en gaf hen alles wat ze nodig hadden. Luna genoot van het eten en de zorg die ze kreeg en voelde zich al snel op haar gemak. Ze heeft een tijd op straat moeten overleven maar is duidelijk gewend aan mensen en moet ooit baasjes gehad hebben. Ze houdt ervan om in het gezelschap van mensen te zijn. Ze komt graag dicht bij ons liggen of flodderen, geniet van aandacht en springt al eens op je schoot. Ze houdt er wel niet van om opgepakt te worden. Luna is jong en nog wat speels. Bij te veel drukte (bijvoorbeeld de kittens die te veel met haar staart spelen of te veel mensen rond haar) merk je onrust en wordt ze liever met rust gelaten. Ze durft dan al eens je kuit vast te hebben. Dit doet ze als waarschuwing en om haar grenzen aan te geven, niet vanuit een agressie. Maar daarom wordt ze beter niet bij jonge kinderen geplaatst. Best heeft ze mensen rond haar die gewoon zijn aan de omgang met katten en het lezen van kattengedrag. In een rustige, vrije omgeving, waar ze ook de ruimte heeft om naar buiten te gaan, is Luna een erg aanhankelijke en lieve poes. Haar kittens zijn ondertussen oud genoeg en Luna begint zelf meer en meer afstand te nemen. Ze is helemaal klaar voor een eigen warm nest. De kat is ontvlooid, ontwormd, gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en geregistreerd. Ze is getest op aids en leucose en testte negatief op beide. We vragen de gebruikelijke tussenkomst in de dierenartskosten van 200 euro wanneer beide vaccinaties gegeven werden. Adoptieprocedure: Er wordt eerst telefonisch nagegaan of er een goede match kan zijn tussen jou en de kat, nadien kan een afspraak gemaakt worden voor een bezoekje zodat jullie met elkaar kunnen kennis maken. Bij adoptie wordt een adoptiecontract getekend en de adoptiebijdrage wordt betaald bij het afhalen van de kat. De kat vertrekt met een Europees paspoort. Voor meer info over de katten of de beschikbaarheid kan je telefonisch contact opnemen met Delphine op het nummer tijdens werkdagen tussen 18u en 20 uur en tijdens het weekend tussen 17u en 20 uur.
