Luna

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 1 year

Luna came to us through no fault of her own at the start of October 2026. Upon arrival she was very scared and skittish but has since started to love people and having company. Whilst she can sometimes give mixed signals through the noises she makes, she loves a good cuddle and for someone to stroke her. She also enjoys having a good snooze in a cosy hiding space as well as sitting outside in her catio. She loves to play and is an avid huntress with lots of energy and love to share with the right person. She just requires someone who is able and willing to respect her need of alone time when needed to not stress her out. However, when in the right mood she enjoys a good cuddle and a nice blanket to curl up in. May be able to live with a cat friendly dog if slow and well monitored introductions are done. She has a history of fighting other cats so would advise she is not rehomed to a home with cats. Due to her being an avid hunter it is also recommended that she doesn’t live with small animals. A loving home with children no younger than 13 who can respect her space and need for alone time when she requires it. Will require 24/7 access to the outdoors when settled via a cat flap as well as full roam of the home when settled. We advise she is rehomed to a low cat population as she is known to have fights with cats previously.

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a small young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Wood Green in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wood Green handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wood Green will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wood Green early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
