Luna

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Luna - three years locked up, yet she hasn't lost her trust in people! 💔🐾 Some stories leave you speechless. And some dogs deserve double the love after everything they've been through. ❤️ This is Luna. A beautiful, four-year-old female dog who has hardly experienced a real dog life in her previous life. Luna spent three long years living on a balcony. 😢 She slept there. She had to do her business there. And she spent every day - without walks, without trips, without discovering the world. Three years she was denied what is self-evident for other dogs: grass under their paws, sun in their faces, exciting smells, movement, adventure and just the feeling of belonging. When the situation became known, it was clear: it couldn't go on like that. Fortunately, Luna was voluntarily given up and could finally get out of this sad life. 🙏❤️ And then something happens that always touches us deeply: Luna is still a very sweet and obedient dog despite everything. 🥹🐾 She likes people, she likes children and even water is great for her. 💦❤️ How must it feel for Luna to suddenly be able to discover things that were denied her for three years? Today Luna lives with a dear animal lover in Romania. There she is allowed to experience for the first time what it means to be cared for and not forgotten. But Luna is still to get something much bigger: 🏡 A home of her own. ❤️ A family that loves her. 🐾 People who show her how beautiful a dog life can be. 🌳 Walks instead of balcony. ☀️ Freedom instead of loneliness. Luna is 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated and chipped. We don't know how much Luna has to discover in her life. Maybe she needs time, patience and loving support at first to process all the new impressions. But we firmly believe that she deserves to get this chance. ❤️ Because when a female dog has still remained friendly, sweet and human-oriented after three years on a balcony, then something very special is hidden in her. 🍀 Luna had so little so far. Now we wish her everything. Maybe there is a person out there who says to her: "Luna, your past is over. Today your life begins." ❤️ 🐾 Placement information 📩 Do you want to give Luna a home? Then visit our homepage www.tiernothilfe-ev.de and click on "Inquiry" in the blue area of the ad, fill out the interested party questionnaire completely, save and then send it to . ❤️ Three years Luna has been waiting. Maybe she's waiting for you now.

🍀 Luna hatte bisher so wenig. About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
