Luna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Luna, born January 1, 2024, 14 kg, medium-small size, compatible with dogs and cats. Luna is a sweet little dog, weighing only 14 kg (photos always grow), she is ready to leave for France and dreams of a family waiting for her upon arrival. A particularly loving family that will give her confidence in humans after what she has endured: Luna was eviscerated by a barbarian unknown. We are looking for a calm and serene family environment, no children, not that she doesn't like them, but she needs a peaceful atmosphere. A single woman (retired or not, but with a minimum of presence) or a retired couple would be good for her. Luna is calm, quiet, she enjoys country or forest walks, not in the bustle of a city. In the meantime, we are looking for a godmother or two to help us pay her boarding fees and, if you wish to adopt her, contact me at 06 77 31 50 90 Dominique All our dogs are identified, vaccinated, sterilized, tested (leishmaniasis, ehrlichiosis and dirofilariasis), dewormed and dewormed as necessary, and adults wear Scalibor collars. Her story: Tunisia: innocence stabbed! Another poor little dog who asked for nothing, who was quietly lying down, who was stabbed, eviscerated, her organs taken out and left, draining of her blood, in her unbearable pain... lhommeetsonchien. com 06 77 31 50 90

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at L in France.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
