Looking for a new home to raise her kittens, Mable is a friendly, velvet-pawed cat who is currently an excellent mother. She’s soon seeking a home where she can once again enjoy being an outdoor cat. She’d also love to move in with one of her babies—what a wonderful idea to adopt both mother and child! Before moving out, she’ll be spayed. Sometimes, life writes the most beautiful stories—and that’s exactly what happened with our found cat, Mable. This affectionate lady cat was brought to our animal shelter on July 20th. She’d already been wandering alone for several days, and despite an intensive search, her owner could not be located. Both the people who found her and we quickly noticed her remarkably developed mammary glands. It was obvious that Mable had recently given birth to kittens—but there was no sign of her offspring anywhere. Despite a thorough veterinary examination and X-rays, all we could initially determine was that she must have had kittens. However, the finders didn’t give up and searched the surrounding area once more. And their efforts paid off: they discovered the kittens! They were able to immediately rescue one kitten, while the other two required a great deal of patience and dedication to capture. Eventually, the little family was reunited. Without the extraordinary commitment of the cat advocates involved, these kittens probably wouldn’t have had any chance of survival. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their incredible work. Mable isn’t a shy, feral cat; rather, she’s a very friendly, people-oriented lady cat. To this day, we still don’t know where she originally came from. As soon as Mable has raised her kittens, been spayed, and the little ones are old enough, the entire family will be looking for a loving home. All the animals will then be available for adoption.

Sucht nach ihrer Mutterschaft ein neues zu Hause Manchmal schreibt das Leben die schönsten Geschichten. So auch bei unserer Fundkatze Mable.Die zutrauliche Katzendame wurde am 20. Juli bei uns im Tierheim abgegeben. Sie war bereits einige Tage allein unterwegs gewesen, ein Besitzer konnte trotz intensiver Suche nicht ausfindig gemacht werden. Schnell fiel sowohl den Findern als auch uns ihr stark ausgeprägtes Gesäuge auf. Es war offensichtlich, dass Mabel vor Kurzem Katzenwelpen bekommen hatte – doch von ihrem Nachwuchs fehlte jede Spur. Trotz tierärztlicher Untersuchung und Röntgenaufnahmen ließ sich zunächst nur feststellen, dass sie tatsächlich Junge gehabt haben musste.Die Finder gaben jedoch nicht auf und suchten erneut die Umgebung ab. Mit Erfolg: Sie entdeckten die Katzenwelpen. Einen konnten sie sofort sichern, die beiden anderen mussten mit viel Geduld und großem Einsatz eingefangen werden. Schließlich konnte die kleine Familie wieder zusammengeführt werden.Ohne das außergewöhnliche Engagement der beteiligten Katzenschützer hätten die Katzenwelpen vermutlich keine Überlebenschance gehabt. Dafür möchten wir uns ganz herzlich bedanken. Mable ist keine scheue, frei lebende Katze, sondern eine sehr freundliche und menschenbezogene Katzendame. Woher sie stammt, wissen wir bis heute nicht.Die Katzenwelpen sind mittlerweile alle vermittelt. Jetzt wünschen wir uns auch für Mama Mable ein tolles zuhause.
