Mado is a European white and tiger-striped female cat who was born on January 15, 2018. She was taken in on June 6, 2026, after being rescued from the wild. Her microchip number is 250268501562257, and she tests positive for FIV (PCR: moderate viral load). Mado has been spayed. She is available for adoption through SOS, with an adoption fee of €150. Mado's story is one that will stay with you forever. We found her by the side of a road in the middle of the forest, far from any human habitation. She was extremely thin and wandered through thorns, meowing incessantly. Terrified at the idea of people approaching her, but desperate to be left alone, she finally understood that we had come to help her and allowed herself to be taken into our arms. When she arrived at the veterinarian's office, the situation was heartbreaking. Identified by the name of a commune, Mado weighed less than 2.5 kg. Her body was infested with fleas, ticks, and worms. Examinations revealed lungworms and an extremely advanced state of malnutrition. Thanks to discussions with the town hall, an official abandonment at the shelter could be carried out so that she could finally receive the care she desperately needed. After several weeks of treatments, adapted feeding, and attentive care, Mado regained her strength. The lungworms were successfully eliminated. Celle de Mado en fait partie. Nous l’avons découverte au bord d’une route, en pleine forêt, loin de toute habitation. Extrêmement maigre, elle errait dans les ronces en miaulant sans relâche. Terrorisée à l’idée qu’on s’approche, mais désespérée qu’on la laisse seule, elle a finalement compris que nous étions venus l’aider et s’est laissée prendre dans les bras. À son arrivée chez le vétérinaire, le constat était bouleversant. Identifiée au nom d’une commune, Mado ne pesait même pas 2,5 kg. Son corps était envahi de puces, de tiques et de vers. Les examens ont révélé la présence de vers pulmonaires et un état de dénutrition extrêmement avancé. Grâce aux échanges avec la mairie, un abandon officiel au refuge a pu être réalisé afin qu’elle puisse enfin recevoir les soins dont elle avait désespérément besoin. Après plusieurs semaines de traitements, d’alimentation adaptée et de soins attentifs, Mado a retrouvé des forces. Les vers pulmonaires ont été éliminés avec succès.
