Many years the old lady at the animal shelter had to spend, all wasted years. When we received the application for admission and the sad pictures of this poor female dog, of course we wanted to help. Just recently a spot had become available again, and so we could make the happy announcement that Maggie can move in with us. We took in a hesitant puppy that wasn't quite sure about the new situation. The other dogs, the house, everything was somehow eerie. And what happened after a few hours? No sign of the hesitant puppy anymore. Proudly, the old puppy marched through the garden with its tail held high, leaped up in joy to the people, and then immediately set off on a walk, more like a run. We had the feeling as if someone had traded the poor old puppy for a new one. Maggie was unrecognizable. Full of life, happy, and joyful, getting along well with other dogs and cats. However, the old girl has a small handicap; she is almost deaf. But that seems not to bother her, she can still make her own decisions! Maggie is simply lovely and enjoys every form of affection she can get. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish the little whirlwind that she can enjoy her new life for a long time. Viele Jahre hat die alte Dame im Tierheim zubringen müssen, alles verschenkte Jahre. Als wir die Anfrage zur Aufnahme und die traurigen Bilder dieser armen Hündin erhielten, wollten wir natürlich helfen. Gerade war wieder einmal unverhofft ein Plätzchen frei geworden und so konnten wir die glückliche Mitteilung machen, dass Maggie bei uns einziehen kann. Wir übernahmen ein unsicheres Hündchen, dass mit der neuen Situation nicht so richtig klarkam. Die anderen Hunde, das Haus, alles war irgendwie gruselig. Und was war nach ein paar Stunden? Nichts von einem unsicheren Hündchen mehr zu sehen. Stolz marschierte das alte Hündchen mit erhobener Rute durch den Garten, sprang vor Freude die Menschen an und dann ging es auch schon los zu einem Spaziergang, besser gesagt zu einem Spazierlauf. Wir hatten das Gefühl, als ob jemand das arme alte Hündchen ausgetauscht hätte. Maggie war nicht wiederzuerkennen. Lebenslustig, froh und glücklich, gut verträglich mit anderen Hunden und Katzen. Ein kleines Handicap hat das alte Mädchen allerdings, sie ist fast taub. Doch das scheint sie nicht zu stören, kann man dann doch sein eigenes Ding machen! Maggie ist einfach nur lieb und genießt jede Art der Zuwendung, die sie bekommen kann. Von Herzen wünschen wir uns für den kleinen Wirbelwind, dass sie noch lange ihr neues Leben genießen kann.
