MAILA

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 10 months

MAILA is a 7-year-old, beautiful female dog with a particularly friendly and people-oriented disposition. She loves being close to her trusted people and enjoys spending time together very much – including cuddle sessions. She shows loyalty and clinginess, but does not like to share her people and would therefore feel most comfortable as a singleton in a quieter home. As for fellow animals, however, MAILA is basically compatible. MAILA already knows how to live in a house and behaves quietly and relaxed overall, making herself generally an uncomplicated roommate. She also impresses with her pleasant nature in everyday life. MAILA is curious and sensitive at the same time. She takes her environment in with keen awareness and needs people who can give her security and be attuned to her feelings. Once she has developed trust, she becomes a faithful companion oriented towards her people. On the leash, MAILA already walks well and enjoys walks together. She is not an "adventurer," but rather a female dog who goes through life with deliberation. We wish MAILA a loving home with heart and understanding, where she will be given time to settle in and continue to receive security. A quiet environment without much commotion would be ideal.

About MAILA

What life with MAILA looks like

MAILA is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting MAILA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MAILA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MAILA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MAILA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MAILA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MAILA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know MAILA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
