MALY &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female

Hello, my name is Maly. I am an 8-year-old Golden Retriever. I have a look that says a lot, I am not a dog for everyone. I need calm, stability, and a safe, secure environment. I was adopted once before, but despite all the love I received, the environment was too stressful for me. Too many stimuli, too many other dogs of the same species, too much to handle. So here I am again, hoping to find a better fit for my sensitivity. I'm back for adoption, with solid foundations. I have learned to manage some things, I have improved, but my reactivity remains strong, especially in urban environments. I get stressed quickly, I need a person who will understand my signals, adapt situations, and continue working with me over time, exclusively through positive reinforcement. That is the only setting in which I can thrive. At home, I am well-behaved, clean, and I know how to be alone. I can spend hours sleeping on a cushion or in a patch of sunlight. I love cooked vegetables (broccoli is my passion), and I am infinitely gentle. I am not a clingy dog, I am quiet, but when I decide to put my head on your knees, it means I have chosen you. I am very intelligent: I have learned commands in several languages, I am motivated, I like to think. I also love scent games, search mats, and I am a champion at finding hidden treats. I learn quickly, provided that my pace is respected. I love quiet walks in nature. I am not a big athlete, I prefer slow walks rich in scents. I have my little routines: a cuddle before leaving, a frozen yogurt upon returning, a big nap when coming back. My profile? A family without animals, in a peaceful environment, with experienced humans or really willing to learn. A kind educational support, time, regularity, and lots of love. In return, I will offer you what I am: a dog full of finesse who just wants to be understood and loved for who she is.

About MALY &#8211

What life with MALY &#8211 looks like

MALY &#8211 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Association Ron'Rhône in Lyon.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting MALY &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MALY &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Ron'Rhône handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MALY &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MALY &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Ron'Rhône will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MALY &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MALY &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Ron'Rhône early rather than rehoming privately; they know MALY &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
