SOLEYA – 7 ans – ♀︎

Mixed Breed · Female

I am Soleya, a Malinois. I was given 7 years, but my history before being taken in is unclear. Vets believe I likely had an episode of an AVC, my body still bearing the marks of something that overwhelmed me: an occasionally hesitant gait, balance issues, and less fluid movements. I do slip and fall sometimes, especially in front of things like cars, where I need help getting up. But I compensate and adapt, and continue to enjoy life with enthusiasm. I am a very human-friendly dog. On walks, I regularly come to check your gaze to make sure you’re still there. At home, I come seeking caresses with great gentleness. And if you give a cuddle to another dog or even a kiss to your child, there’s a good chance I’ll discreetly intervene to claim my share of attention. I am a stable, gentle, and calm dog. I love simple things; walking, sniffing the garden scents, lying in the sun, or resting. I move between the inside and the garden at my own pace. I take my time observing, sniffing, sometimes even barking very seriously at a fly. On walks, I am pleasant. I walk well on a leash, have an excellent recall, and remain very attentive to my humans. Despite my mobility issues, I can take beautiful walks: recently, I covered 6 kilometers without a problem. I am an intelligent dog. I love puzzle games, calm activities where I have to search, use my sense of smell. Gentle stimulations please me a lot. And if there’s some cheese… then I’m the most motivated dog in the world. With other dogs, I am social and communicate well. I am generally very easy to live with. My only need, ultimately, is to have an adapted environment, a calm home, ideally on one level, with a garden for my comfort. My body is awkward, and it takes more effort from me than from other dogs. But I compensate by coming to snuggle against you as if it were the safest place in the world. They say some dogs leave more than paw prints in a house… they transform it, just by the way they are there. So fill out a form for me quickly:

How do I contact the shelter about SOLEYA – 7 ans – ♀︎?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Ron'Rhône handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. Can I adopt SOLEYA – 7 ans – ♀︎ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Ron'Rhône will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Is SOLEYA – 7 ans – ♀︎ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SOLEYA – 7 ans – ♀︎ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Ron'Rhône early rather than rehoming privately; they know SOLEYA – 7 ans – ♀︎ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
