UNTER &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male

I am Unter. I am 6 years old, and I am a cross between a Shiba and a Shepherd. To be honest, my mind is always buzzing: I am intelligent, observant, eager to learn, and always curious about what is happening around me. I have experienced several changes in my home, and through adapting, I have developed a certain mistrust of the new. I have learned that familiar things can disappear overnight, so when I meet someone for the first time, I need time to warm up. Daily, I am an adaptable dog. The city does not pose a problem for me. Cars, bicycles, scooters, noises... I can accompany you on a terrace, in a car, on a hike, or on a forest walk. I love discovering new places and I am always eager to learn. Outside, my favorite activity remains exploration. Scents tell stories that I never get tired of reading. And let's be honest, I have a few questionable passions: birds, lizards, anything that moves too quickly. At home, I am calm. I enjoy chewing activities, long naps after walks, and spending quiet time by your side. I create a real bond with my humans. I am with you in the house, I keep an eye on you during walks, I like to know where the people I love are. I learn quickly, I am receptive, intelligent, and motivated, especially when a small treat comes to reward me. With other dogs, it varies. I can get along well with some, but meetings sometimes require a bit of guidance. I progress when I am guided correctly and when introductions are made in good conditions. As for cats, I am still learning. I can share a room under certain conditions, but it remains a work in progress. I am looking for a family who wants to build a real relationship with me. Someone who understands that I have experienced many changes and now aspire to find a place where I can finally settle down. They say some dogs leave more than a paw print in a house... they transform it, just by being there. So fill out a form for me quickly:

About UNTER &#8211

What life with UNTER &#8211 looks like

UNTER &#8211 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Association Ron'Rhône in Lyon.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting UNTER &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about UNTER &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Ron'Rhône handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw UNTER &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt UNTER &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Ron'Rhône will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is UNTER &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if UNTER &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Ron'Rhône early rather than rehoming privately; they know UNTER &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
