Mama i maluch

Unknown

Mom and little one, HELLO, MONICA! I’VE BRUGHT YOU ANOTHER KITTEN AGAIN! That’s roughly what the sign on a banner might look like if cats made banners. We met Monica last summer when she took in Jadźka, Kajtek, and Leosia—the cat’s previous kittens from the photos. It turned out that she’d already rescued litters from this cat before, but we’d never managed to catch the cat for spaying. Especially since the cat behaved like a cuckoo: “Hi there—these are my babies now, well, actually your babies already, bye-bye.” The cat wasn’t fed by Monica; she’d simply chosen her yard as the place to leave her kittens. Unfortunately, this year we didn’t manage to trap the cat before she gave birth. She skillfully avoided the trap cage left on the roof. One day she showed up with an empty tummy, and Monica knew she just had to wait for the moment when the cat would bring forth her offspring. Luckily, this year there’s only one kitten. Monica agreed to take in this little family into her foster home; the kitten will be looking for a permanent home, while we’ll see how the mother behaves. This time, we helped Monica come up with a plan of action. She knew she couldn’t give up on catching the mother. For several days, the girl bravely got the whole family used to the trap cage. Unfortunately, the mother remained completely unmoved. Monica trapped the kitten, and then the real show began. The mother paced back and forth on the roof all night and through the morning. Monica tried luring her with BARF, with the kitten in a carrier, with meows played over a Bluetooth speaker—but the cat absolutely refused to go into the trap. Finally, though, she did step inside. The kitten was caught on Tuesday at 10 p.m., and the mother on Wednesday at 12 p.m. Monia fought bravely against the cats and lack of sleep, but she saw the mission through to the end. We’re so glad we found each other and were able to bring this case to a successful conclusion. 😉 Remember: if you want to rescue homeless kittens, you also need to make sure their mom gets spayed—that’s the only sensible option. Mama i maluch HALO, MONICA! Młody został złapany we wtorek o 22:00, a matka w środę o 12:00. About Mama i maluch

What life with Mama i maluch looks like

Mama i maluch is a adult cat waiting at Fundacja Kot Toruń in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mama i maluch, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mama i maluch?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Kot Toruń handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mama i maluch on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mama i maluch if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Kot Toruń will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mama i maluch already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mama i maluch isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Kot Toruń early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mama i maluch and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
