Mambo Jamie

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Ilza Yosifova, born approximately May & June 2026, female, location: Bulgaria, not spayed, FIV test: negative, FeLV test: negative, no disabilities, compatible with: children: unknown, cats: yes, dogs: unknown, requirements: shared apartment only, NO outdoor access, balcony or terrace desirable (if available, securing required), Mambo was born outside on the street, where she lived with her mother Ruby and her two brothers. Ruby kept her little ones well hidden and only came to Ilza for feeding. With much patience, Ilza finally managed to bring the small family to safety. Jamie was also discovered near Ilza's apartment, where she was initially still suckled by her mother. A few weeks later, the little one developed a severe eye infection. Ilza was able to catch her and get her veterinary care. After a longer treatment, Jamie's eye has since healed well. Mambo and Jamie are two cheerful cat girls who have a lot of fun together. Mambo especially has a lot of pepper in her behind and loves to dash around and play. Jamie is also curious and playful and likes to get caught up in joint adventures. Both also show themselves open and friendly to people. They like attention and enjoy petting and small cuddle breaks. The two have found each other with Ilza and have now become such a great team that they should stay together in the future. We wish Mambo and Jamie people who have a joy for two lively cat girls and who like to take time to play and cuddle. The two have found each other with Ilza and should now also find their big happiness together. A loving place where they can play, experience small adventures and just be happy to their hearts' content - that would be just the thing for the two sweet mice.

About Mambo Jamie

What life with Mambo Jamie looks like

Mambo Jamie is a large kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mambo Jamie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mambo Jamie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mambo Jamie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mambo Jamie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mambo Jamie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mambo Jamie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mambo Jamie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
