MANGO

Male · Kitten · 3 months

Meet Mango! This little ball of fur loves to play and can usually be found kicking his balls around or wrestling with his knitted mice. Once he is all out of energy he loves a fuss especially if it means he gets lots of head and chin rubs. Mango can be a bit nervous and would be best suited living with a sensible older school aged child who will understand that he may need time and space to settle. He should be fine to settle into a quiet corner of the home with all his resources close by an plenty of cosy hiding places. Mango has lots of energy and will need outside access so he can explore and run around. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Mango, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About MANGO

What life with MANGO looks like

MANGO is a medium-sized puppy/kitten cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting MANGO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MANGO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MANGO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MANGO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MANGO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MANGO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know MANGO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
