Mango was left on the property by his owners. When new owners arrived, they decided the dog was simply unnecessary. So he ended up at the shelter. When we saw him, it was hard to believe that someone would let him live in such a state. The chain he was tied to had grown deep into the skin of his neck. He had to live with pain for a long time, which no animal should experience. It was necessary to shave his fur and remove the growing chain during the procedure. And yet, despite all that he had been through at the hands of humans, he didn't close up to people. He still enjoys their sight. He is cheerful, happy and eager to make contact. As if deep down inside, he still believes that humans can be good.

Mango został pozostawiony na posesji przez swoich właścicieli. Kiedy pojawili się tam nowi właściciele, uznali, że pies jest po prostu niepotrzebny. Tak trafił do schroniska. Kiedy go zobaczyliśmy, trudno było uwierzyć, że ktoś pozwolił mu żyć w takim stanie. Łańcuch, na którym był uwiązany, wrósł głęboko w skórę jego szyi. Przez długi czas musiał żyć z bólem, którego nie powinno doświadczać żadne zwierzę. Konieczne było ogolenie sierści i usunięcie wrastającego łańcucha podczas zabiegu. A jednak, mimo tego wszystkiego, co spotkało go ze strony człowieka, nie zamknął się na ludzi. Nadal cieszy się na ich widok. Jest pogodny, wesoły i chętnie nawiązuje kontakt. Jakby gdzieś głęboko w sobie wciąż wierzył, że człowiek może być dobry.
