Adopt Marea

Mixed Breed · Female

Marea was her savior, with whom she now lives, until a wonderful family is found for her, has repeatedly caught attention during daily walks. The rescue animal's own dogs played with the friendly beauty and Marea quickly knew that her new friend always has cookies. The kind lady repeatedly tried to find out if Marea had a home, if she was missing somewhere, but other neighbors also confirmed that the female dog spent day and night on the street. This was unbearable for the friend of Arca Sevilla, and therefore Marea was able to go home with her foster mom shortly after. The lively 2.5-year-old (as of 04/2021) Pinscher mix with the wonderful tricolor coat is joy of life on four paws. Curious and playful, Marea enjoys every minute of the day. Her big eyes always look boldly into the world, and when she spots a ball, all dams break and the little lady shows her qualities as an enduring bundle of energy. Of course, it's best when someone has the time to keep throwing the toys for Marea, but this clever girl has already discovered many great ways to entertain herself otherwise. Not least, she plays with her four-legged friends through the apartment and the patio of the house, then cuddles together on the couch and watches TV. Marea is really a real tomboy inside, even though she has already grown out of puberty, and her spirit and kindness convince every two-legged being nearby quickly that they have a real treasure in front of them. We wish this nice Wuslon a similarly active, friendly, humorous family with a big heart... does this description fit you and your loved ones? Well then, don't hesitate and get in touch with us! Marea happily wags her tail waiting for news where her new dog bed will be, and is bursting with excitement about what color her new balls will be!

About Marea

What life with Marea looks like

Marea is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
