Marilyn

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Marilyn is a sweet and calm sheepdog who needs to find a family that can look beyond her fears and give her the time she needs to trust. When she arrived at the Lliga, she was very scared and had a lot of fear of people. Little by little, she has evolved and made progress, but she still finds it difficult to feel safe with those she doesn't know. That's why it's important that her future family respects her times, knows how to accompany her with patience and doesn't rush to get her to open up. Marilyn needs to discover that people can also be a source of calm and security. She gets along well with other dogs, and living with a balanced canine companion could help her gain confidence and feel more secure in her daily life. Marilyn did not have the opportunity to receive the treatment she deserved during her first stage of life, and we hope that now she can know what it means to have a real home: a place where she is treated with respect, love and patience, where she feels protected and can move forward at her own pace. We are looking for a sensitive family for her, preferably in a quiet area and ideally with another dog, which will allow her to discover that life can also be kind and that she has nothing to fear. If you are interested in meeting her, you can read the information about the and fill out the form:

ES·Show original

About Marilyn

What life with Marilyn looks like

Marilyn is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Barcelona) in Protectora Bcn.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marilyn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marilyn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Barcelona) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marilyn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marilyn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Barcelona) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Marilyn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marilyn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Barcelona) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marilyn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
